Design

Producing a video starts when an idea is highlighted and well explained. As such, design is the first phase to start your video project.

Let’s talk about it. Send me a message.

    Design: the key to success

    01

    Clarifying

This first phase defines the scope of the project and focuses on the creative intentions.

    02

    Uniting

Before going into production, the design allows the extended team to agree on the style.

    03

    Giving credibility

A clear, precise explanation of the creative approaches will give the project credibility in the eyes of the decision-making committee.

    04

    Budgeting

Each creative approach is designed within a defined budget. No surprises.

    05

    Inspiring

This thought process inspires the troops and opens up the range of possibilities.

    06

    Convincing

Developing creative approaches helps convince management that the video project has added value.

    To do consistent design work

    A needs analysis

You have so many questions to ask that you feel dizzy. First, let me get your request in order.

Of course, we don’t have all the details to explain what you will need to do for your project. To make it easier for me to understand and so I can guide you quickly through the first steps of creation and production, I will give you a form that will help you clarify your request. The questions are already prepared; all you have to do is answer them. These answers will set the stage for our initial discussions.

    Open brainstorming

To enhance my level of understanding, I invite you to gather your most creative colleagues and decision-makers for a video conference call. In only 30 minutes, some details will emerge while some options could already be mentioned and discussed. This call also serves to bring your management team together and reassure them about the future of the project.

    A brief overview

Based on my research, I provide 3 to 8 design approaches for your video project. These approaches are explained in words and images to help you visualize the concepts I have in mind. The format of your project is important. What will be the “reason” for presenting your company and how will you organize the elements that will convey your corporate message? A comprehensive presentation covers each approach and helps to put words and images to ideas that were previously intangible.

    Defining the perfect approach

By centralizing the comments received on the creative approaches developed, certain combinations of codes are made to come up with a conceptual approach that is fully adapted to your business reality. This second document confirms the resources required to produce the chosen concept and recommendations are made so that the video’s planning and pre-production can get underway smoothly.

They put their trust in me.

In the strategy phase, I ask questions to immerse myself in my clients’ corporate reality. Of course, transparency and respect are of the essence.

    FAQ

No. Design is the approval step of a concept that allows the production team to prepare, organize and plan the project. Pre-production deals with a single, internally approved concept.

It’s simple. Identifying a clear, precise concept lets your organization know how production budgets will be spent and what their finished product will look like.

Depending on the complexity of the project and the industry, the design phase usually takes 3 to 6 weeks to arrive at a final, approved concept.
