How I work

When it comes to creating new concepts, my corporate clients like to think outside the box. However, they still need their production to have structure. This is how I structure my work as a creative producer.

Pinpointing needs

Learning about the client organization’s business is a key step in the video project, which allows us to develop a cohesive starting document that clearly outlines our intentions.

It all starts with a preliminary meeting to analyze your needs, identify the issues to be considered and establish the key messages you want to convey. Depending on the project’s budget, we offer a variety of ways to get your message across, such as interviews, promotional videos, short videos and animation.

Creating a concept

Once I have the preliminary information, I develop and explain the possible creative approaches.

I create a visual presentation that brings together images, video samples and drafts of texts that represent each approach. These creative approaches take into account your communication objectives, your brand’s tone of voice and the key messages you want to communicate, as well as your budget and the time frame for delivering your video or animation project.

Fine tuning

You then discuss the conceptual presentation in your organization. Building on your vision, you select one or more approaches that appeal to you.

Based on your comments and preferences, a creative approach is chosen, and we identify the actions required to make it happen. The budget is established, as well as the division of roles and responsibilities. From that point on, your organization knows what video product it will receive. Then we can start pre-production on your project!

Setting the stage

Before we take out the cameras, we need to have a complete work plan so that all our collaborators understand the objectives and organize their contribution to the video project.

Working documents are prepared depending on the creative approach being used: a script, a technical breakdown, an equipment list, a shooting schedule, storyboards, etc. Some of these documents are sent to the client for approval. The creative producer then contacts external partners to facilitate their preparatory tasks. The aim of this step is to optimize each activity, to involve the stakeholders and to clarify the upcoming production as much as possible.

Bringing the project to life

This is when the fun starts! The production phase is the implementation of all our preparations, when the production team sets the machine in motion. Action!

Production days are demanding but exciting. The storyboards are followed to the letter and every minute is counted. Being prepared for production lets us keep positive energy and a pleasant environment while working on your video project. The director takes charge on the set while the creative producer ensures that the client and production team have everything they need.
